The Success City

I originally wrote this about the city where I live. These words could easily apply to your town or city too…
Open your heart and lend me your ear. Today marks the beginning of a historic journey. A journey that I ask you to take with me to a wonderful and prosperous place called “The Success City.”
“The Success City” is a place where things are as good as can be. A place where endless opportunities spring from the hearts and minds of it’s citizens. A place where a strong economy is forever fueled by powerful imagination, faith and community values. A place where people of all callings, ages and diverse backgrounds stand shoulder to shoulder, sharing a common goal of peace, prosperity, respect and self-expression. A place where each and ever person can be and achieve anything they want, never worrying about where their next meal is coming from or where they will sleep tonight.
“The Success City” is indeed a wonderful place to be and live.
“The Success City” is a model city. A city that every other city, town, district and borough will look to in awe and inspiration. It is a city that spreads good fortune and community through the example it sets for the world.
Imagine… as the world takes notice of “The Success City.” We will see the emergence of a new era for humankind, as the spirit of “The Success City” spreads across the globe.
The reshaping of the world will start and spread from one place, one city, “The Success City” through the actions and thoughts of its people. By consciously changing our minds in unison, we the people of this great city will change the world – starting with our own world.
Tell me, would you like to live in the “The Success City?” I know I would like to live there. I am confident that we can and will.
I believe together we will make this journey. I believe from the deepest reaches of my heart and soul that our city is going to be this city - “The Success City.”
Do you believe in destiny? Do you believe there is a reason – a greater reason that we find ourselves here in our city today, at this time, together? With all the choices in the world to live and be we have chosen our city. Why? Just as you and everyone else that were either raised and stayed here or moved here from other parts of the state, country or world we all share one thing in common – we all call our city “home.” There is a reason – a reason that together we stand at the crossroads of the rebirth of our city.
I believe that it is our city’s destiny to become “The Success City.” It is the destiny of the people of our city to rise and win together in the face of yesterday’s adversity to build the most prosperous community the world has ever known. Our city is not a place that ‘has been’ – it is a place that is ‘becoming.’ Together let’s have our city earn its place in history, not as a place that has struggled to break free of its past, but as a place that is defining its future. Never again will our city be referred to as “Poverty Flats” because from this day forward it will be known as the city whose people rallied together to create “The Success City.”
Our city can be and will be a place where fields of education, art, culture and industry are fertile. Producing an endless bounty for the community and all who look upon her. A place where peace, prosperity and health are the predominant words on the street instead of hate, poverty and addiction. A place where great jobs and opportunities are plentiful and unemployment is uncommon and unknown. A place where all people can rise to greatness and meet their full potential instead of living as second-class castaways on the fringe of society. A place where everyone from all points on the globe will want to be and will look to for encouragement.
Just like the news that spread about the discovery of gold at Sutter’s mill in 1848, which resulted the great “Gold Rush.” People from all walks of life will want to come stake their claim in the prosperity of our city. Yes, there is gold here in our city and it is the mother of all mother loads. It doesn’t require luck or hard work to find this fortune because the gold and riches here are found in the hearts and minds of every man, women and child in this great city – “The Success City” - our city.
I ask you to join me. Join me by casting aside fear, doubt and failure while bringing along your grandest hopes and dreams of prosperous our city. Join me on this historic journey to “The Success City.”
Leave your wallet behind for the path to “The Success City” is paved only through an investment of pure belief and unwavering faith. Hold the virtues of the “The Success City” close to your heart and forever in your thoughts and actions.
As you make your way toward “The Success City”, become its champion by sharing this powerful positive vision of tomorrow’s our city with everyone you meet. Let your words echo this dream and fuel the fires of hope, promise and desire in the hearts and minds of your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors.
As more and more people share and resonate this dream we will soon find what started as dream has indeed come to be reality. Do this friends and I assure you that we will all meet together in the heart of the greatest, most successful city on earth – our city - “The Success City.”
